Levi and Jackie Davis are Sharing HIS Plan currently in Guatemala with CTEN as their sending agency. Since 1998, the two have served in many ministerial capacities together in their unique spiritual gifts.

Levi Davis Jr. grew up in a Christian home. During a retreat, he accepted Christ in 1985. God has blessed Levi with gifts in music and construction. He’s played music since he was 12 years old. This includes singing and several instruments both in school and ‘garage’ bands. He attended The Citadel receiving a BS in Civil Engineering. He has worked over 15 years in the construction industry. In addition to using these skills for ministry, he’s been involved in ministries utilizing his computer skills, leadership skills, automotive skills, and foreign language. Levi explains, “God seems to put me where I am needed, so I will follow His lead without hesitation.”

Jackie Davis accepted Christ in 1997. She's felt the calling of God to full time ministry ever since. Her formal education consists of degrees in Commercial Art & Design (AS from VU) and Visual Communications Design (BA from PU). She spent 12 years in her career full-time. God has used her graphic design skills for ministry, as well as the gift of hospitality, mercy, and other technical skills. She looks forward to ministering more with other couples, women’s ministry, and other missionaries who come through.

In January 1998, God introduced Levi and Jackie. Since meeting, they discussed doing mission work full time for retirement. After serving in many ministries in and out of church from weekly Bible study at a girl's home to serving as Deacons, the two were married in March of 2000 (see photo below) at Church of The Isles (Indian Rocks Beach, FL). At this church and all that follow still, Levi plays bass guitar & helps with facility needs and Jackie has assists in graphic design & marking needs for the churches. They they attended Pathways Community Church in January 2003. The two were baptized together in the Gulf of Mexico in May 2003 (see photo below). They hosted a weekly married couple Bible study in their home. That following winter, Levi was eager to sign up to go to Guatemala on a construction mission trip. In January 2004, the two moved to Indiana (a move for Jackie to take care of her mother and a career move for Levi). They attended Vineyard Community Church and hosted Bible study weekly in their home. Levi went on the first mission trip in March of 2004, while Jackie and baby-to-be stayed home. Levi returned to tell Jackie what God pressed on his heart while there; in short "we're moving to Guatemala", Jackie responded, "when do we pack?". Their first child was born September 2004. Levi attended the second trip to Guatemala in December. The three finally got to go as a family on a mission trip in April of 2005 (see photo below).

They sold everything, but the bare basics in August 2005 to start their journey. Support raising was "slow", but still on God's time. Since everything was sold, they moved into D&D Missionary Homes to continue to raise support. In December 2005, Levi went to Guatemala for a mission trip and look for a home. Jackie and Lydia went to Indiana to surprise and see family. They all regrouped and on January 25, 2006, and moved to Guatemala!!!  (see photo below of the three with 6 carry-ons and 12 checked bags)

Lydia Davis is a true reminder of God's power and love. Jackie was told she would not conceive without medicine. Months later, the pregnancy and birth of Lydia is proof that with the Davis' faith and discipline, God will show Himself in His own way. It was the Davis' desire to have an "L" bible name for their child to match Levi's name. Lydia was chosen or rather given to them by God. Lydia's name came from Acts 16.

On the Sabbath we went a little way outside the city to a riverbank, where we supposed that some people met for prayer, and we sat down to speak with some women who had come together. One of them was Lydia from Thyatira, a merchant of expensive purple cloth. She was a worshiper of God. As she listened to us, the Lord opened her heart, and she accepted what Paul was saying. She was baptized along with other members of her household, and she asked us to be her guests. "If you agree that I am faithful to the Lord," she said, "come and stay at my home." And she urged us until we did. ~Acts 16:13-15 (NLT)

Levi Davis II is a second reminder of God's rewards. The Davis' welcomed their son in February 2007 in the states. He is named after his grandfather. He helps keep the tradition of an "L" Bible name in the family. The gender was unknown until the birth and there was no female name selected (there was a list, though). So the Davis' were spared having to pick a girl name. The family is more complete with Levi II, and they all could not be happier to see what God has in store for the family of four.

Their ministry vision is to present to the people of Guatemala the Savior, Jesus Christ, evangelizing to all, and showing how much God loves them by serving in various community outreaches that include Bible study in their home and needed construction. Using the many gifts God has given the Davis family, they wish to serve in all their capacities to further God's Kingdom. Join in this mission!
